There seems to be sudden rise of keen players entering the backgammon scene across the Fylde area of Lancashire with the recent growth in numbers attending St Annes Backgammon Club who meet fortnightly on Monday evenings and the monthly Bone Club events at Abingdon Street Market. Many players also meet up to play league matches and casual games outside of club nights.
Last weekend St Annes Backgammon Club entered a team in the UK Teams Championships in York where we certainly held our own against some of the best players in the UK and everyone enjoyed taking part.
Bone Club Backgammon led by Guy Haslam organises a fabulous monthly backgammon evening at Blackpool Abingdon Street Market.
